Early Years are Learning Years
Moscow Day School celebrates National Week of the Young Child April 6, 2011 - Moscow Day School asks Moscow and surrounding areas to come together for children during the Week of the Young Child (April 10-16, 2011). As part of the National WOYC celebrated across the country, MDS is honoring young children and all those who make a difference in children's lives. Moscow Day School will have coffee and donuts available for parents and grandparents dropping off their child/ren in the mornings this week. The children will write or dictate their opinions of classroom books and rate them with stars. The teachers will taly the results and post the chart in the classrooms. Look for the list of our five-star books along with a few students reviews. During the WOYC, MDS has a bunch of opportunities to volunteer and spend some "school-time" with your youngster. Ask you child's teacher if anything is needed for the big spring fling performance, chaperone on Thursday's p.m. class field trip to the library for story time, or have your child draw pictures and write notes for their teachers. Throughout the week we will send thank you letters to teachers at other early childhood programs. On Friday, the school will wrap up the week with a thank you lunch for teachers.
